Jess created the 6 Pillars of Modo and constantly works to evolve these pillars by tapping into the incredible collective on this team and in the greater Modo community. In addition to thousands of hours in Yoga study, Jess’s academic study include Anatomy, Physiology, Buddhism, and Anthropology.
Jess’s days involve supporting the Modo studio owner community. She teaches at Level 1 and Advanced trainings, writes about yoga in a modern world, and plays music. She also enjoys a good yoga shvitz as much as anyone can!
Jess spent 6 years working in the not-for-profit sector before choosing yoga-in-community as a different way to serve the natural world. She realized that in order to do good in a lasting way, you had to feel good in a lasting way. This decision was undoubtedly influenced by growing up on a farm with hippie parents, in a community guided by her primary teacher Baba Hari Das.
Jess lives in an eco-village with her partner and two kiddies. Aside from Modo her passion project is: eating chocolate, climbing trees, and admiring all forms of creativity.
