Dez began practicing yoga to stay active after playing hockey for 15 years. She attended Boston University where she was apart of the women’s ice hockey team. After a difficult transition from being a student-athlete, she began to practice yoga consistently and was inspired by its psychological and physical benefits. Excited about this new found passion, she pursued her Modo certification online in July 2021. She is currently obtaining a doctorate in psychology from UQAM. She hopes to fuse what she learns in both yoga and psychology to strengthen her skills to help people in the best way she can. Her goal is to provide an accepting and loving space for students to explore their body through movement and regain a connection between mind and body.
